Demi (Demetria) Moore was born on November 11th, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Her real father was an unemployed gambling addict who left her mother before she was born. Her childhood was a tough one and to make matters worse she was born cross-eyed and underwent two operations to fix the problem.Demi's mother remarried Danny Guynes. Unfortunately, Guynes didn't add any stability to the family. He was frequently changing jobs, which caused the family to move over 30 times during Demi's youth. Demi grew up dealing with alcoholism, poverty, divorce, poverty and her step fathers suicide when she was 18. Perhaps her afflicted childhood fueled her ambitions for fame and fortune.At 16 Demi quite school and moved to Los Angeles where she found work as a model (modeled in Europe) and worked for a collection agency. When she was 18 she married Rock musician, Freddy Moore. The marriage lasted for 4 years.Her break into show biz was on the Daytime series ''General Hospital'' as Jackie Templeton.
